| The EU does not border the arctic ocean. Greenland is not part of the EU, and as Norway and Russia are not part of the EU the most northernly part of the EU that borders an ocean are the Shetlands, and to be calling that the arctic ocean is just wrong. As to Cyprus, on sporcle it is always counted as fully European so that's what I'm doing here. The pacific posessions are not part of the EU. There are outermost regions which are part of the EU, of which Reunion, French Guiana and Guadeloupe are a few examples. However, the overseas countries and territories, for instance New Caledonia or the British Indian Ocean territories are not part of the EU. |
