| Americans use a lot of the words you have in the UK column: sofa, purse, traffic lights, tadpole, lawyer (I thought the UK term was a barrister), pavement, recess, autumn, and tarmac, so I'm not sure those make for good questions in this quiz. The other ones are fun, though.
I'm surprised that some of the more well-known differences (bobby/policeman, car hood/bonnet, car trunk/boot) were not in this quiz. |
