| I was leary when I saw no criteria for determining greatest programs, but as mentioned Oklahoma State has beren to 6 Final Fours over a variety of eras and won 2 National Championships. Florida is missing although all of their success is recent. I certainly would remove Texas and Temple, but not Utah. Utah has a National Championship, 4 Final Fours, more than 30 tourney wins and a host of other accolades, they are ahead of Illinois and KSU as well as Temple and Texas.
If some criteria or criterion were stated and these schools met that, than I would be Okay with the list, but not as it is. USF, OSU and Florida all have two national Championships and missed the list, but USF has been dormant for 30 years and has lacked top success for 55 years, while UF did nothing until 20 years ago, so there is a way to eliminate each, but no way to eliminate OSU or put rival OU ahead and other choices leave me scratching my head. |
