	Croatia should also be in this quiz because of Dubrovnik. It could also be argued Cyprus has a split coastline because of Akrotiri and Dhekelia. Also where exactly does Indonesia have a split coastline on a single landmass? Three of their islands are divided but the Indonesian coastline is continuous on all of them, isn't it?

	5 for idea, 1 for execution. Agreed with everything above. Also, UAE and Oman need to be there.... and please clean up the blank columns and put the instructions in the header, not at the top of the table.

	Good attempt, but you're missing a lot of countries. Oman and UAE should be here because of Musandam. Brunei's coastline is split in two. The Netherlands could be here: the coastline of Zeelandic Flanders is separated from the rest of the coastline (Belgium is in between) Timor-Leste has the same situation as Brunei. Perhaps Equatorial Guinea could be an answer, it's arguable what's the 'mainland' of the country.

	Both the above two comments are correct. There are others you've missed: India, because of Bangladesh; Argentina and Chile, as Chile cuts across Argentina in the southern tip of the Atlantic coast. In addition, what about islands? Surely any country with any outlying islands counts in your definition? Finally, I'm sure the quiz isn't presented as you meant, with two columns containing no info. This is a nice idea but 1) needs to be thought through so you have a set definition you can stick to and include all countries 2) tidy presentation 3) make it clear what your definition is in the instructions.

	@Timoteus: East Timor/Timor-Leste has an exclave (Oecussi-Ambeno) on the island of Timor, which slightly divides the coast. If you include Indonesia, then you should probably include East Timor. Same as above on Angola.

	What's with the first and third columns? They don't do anything, and the headings seem to be instructions- there's much better places to put those. This needs a lot of work, but the concept is good so you could potentially fix it.

	Most countries which aren't landlocked have islands. I don't think islands should be counted because it would just be a list of countries with coastlines, not broken coastlines. But as people have said the oversights of this quiz include the Netherlands, Croatia, Angola, Timor-Leste, Brunei, Oman and the UAE. Cyprus would make an interesting bonus answer.

	This is a really good idea for a quiz. With a few touches it'll be great. I agree with A_is_for_Addict on both counts. Adding a column that shows the countries that divide the coastlines after we get an answer would be great! You can't include islands as broken coastline, because then everything's an answer. Include a definition of what you mean by broken coastline, and please oh please change England to United Kingdom. I'm not even sure where it's coastline is broken, but if it is, England is not a country.

	i see england, for wales and scotland, but UK should be used instead...and it has 2 coastlines counting northern ireland...should japan and new zealand for being separate islands. Taking it further, islands could count ie ecuador has the gallapagos islands, italy with sardinia...etc

	England needs to be off this list, it is not an independent country, like the others. Also, at the very least, Croatia needs to be added.

	And if exclaves and enclaves are excluded, how does Morocco have a split coast? If Ceuta and Melilla are excluded, what is splitting Morocco's coast?

	Moroccos Coastline is split by Ceuta and Melilla. These are both territories of Spain so Morrocos coast is split by exclacve, not because it has an Exclave. Croatia isnt included as the part with Dobrovnik in is an Exclave, this goes the same for Angola. England is on the list as it is a country and i believe a sovereign state although nto an independant one. New Zealand and Japan are excluded also becuase they are made up of islands where as Germany, France are. Malaysia is included as the part of its territory that is on Borneo is a split coast line as Brunei splits it.

	Fatal flaw - what does a split coast mean? I assumed it meant countries that border more than one ocean body, like the US. Why is Canada and Mexico on the list but not the US?

	Russia is missing. It borders the Black Sea, which is an open body of water, since it's connected with the Meditteranean Sea through the Bosporus.
