| The completely free media (as the list would have it) is not entirely correct as far as Sweden goes though, the dominant (especially the state-run) TV and radio channels are blatantly partial to the left in most questions. Also, in the latest major political debate on state-run TV for all party leaders (2010 is an election year for us) one of the parties who has been polling in 4th-5th place for the last few months out of 8 real contenders for parliament seats was shut out of the debate while smaller parties were present. Of course it's generally a high standard comparatively, but as a Swede I flinch every time foreigners credit us too much on our free press. |
