	As far as I'm aware, Adunaic wasn't really used in Gondor, at least during the time of LOTR. Sindarin was the tongue used by the learned and the nobility - think of the names of the people and the places in the books. Plus Gandalf is always greeted as "Mithrandir".

	Weren't the first kings of Gondor Isildur and Anarion? Elendil was the high king and ruled the North Kingdom of Arnor, but Isildur and Anarion were the first (co-)kings of Gondor, I believe.

	@aiwendil:other way round isildur was king of arnor, elendil gondor and, as isildur's son, he then ruled Arnor after his death
