Bahamian-American here! It's true that the Bahamas is in the Atlantic, but the Bahamas is a member of CARICOM and is very much culturally Caribbean. I think it's okay to include it here if you include a note saying that you're looking for the standard definition of the Caribbean, not the exact scientific one. If you do decide to remove the Bahamian islands, you should include a note saying they're not here, because I think most people would try them.
Beyond that: Absolutely no one says "Great" Abaco; it's just Abaco. No one who tries "Abaco" would be confusing it with Little Abaco. So you should accept that. :) |
