| A few things - Schubert's 6th doesn't exist - and with two incomplete ones, maybe he should only be on 8?
Also, Tchaikovsky wrote another symphony, 'Manfred', which doesn't have a number (written between the 4th and 5th), so he should be on 7.
Finally, Bruckner has two youth symphonies (Symphony No.0 and Symphony No.00), and his 9th is complete enough that it's regularly performed - so he should be on 10 or 11.
Likewise, Mahler's 10th (numbered) symphony was done enough that it's been completed and performed a lot...
Finally, how about Saint-Saens? 3 numbered symphonies and two youth ones. And Franck? Just the one in D minor. |
