	Living in Georgia, I knew better than to try Atlanta. It's such a big city metro-wise, but because it got such a late start for the area (and then got burned down), it's city limits are really small. Otherwise it'd be higher on all the 'Biggest Cities' quizzes.

	I knew Phoenix, Tucson, and some random suburb of Phoenix would be the 3 Arizona cities. I think I typed in every damned suburb of Phoenix: Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Paradise Valley, Glendale, Apache Junction, Avondale, Buckeye... Then, I tried Yuma and Flagstaff, thinking the 3rd Arizona city must be in some other part of the state. Completely forgot about Scottsdale. I really feel stupid, given that I was born, raised, and have lived all of my 40 years in the state of Arizona.

	There are 19 cities on this list that have more people than Minneapolis but a smaller metro area. That just shows how much of an effect the arbitrary placement of city limits can have.

	I guess Louisville, Kentucky's consolidation with Jefferson County didn't make the cut in time: as of 7/11/00, area of 399mi²

	Good quiz! However, the Sporcle Admins should have bothered to get the up-to-date info (or asked the author to do so). No criticism of the author -- quiz was contributed in 2009. Using 2010 census data would put Louisville on the list due to their recent city-county consolidation.

	It would be interesting to display the populations of these cities, as a comparison/indication of their population density. Either way, fascinating quiz. I had no idea Anchorage was so sprawling.

	Blatant anti-Alaska discrimination! More than 100,000 people my eye... I didn't even know Anchorage was larger than Jacksonville because there are so many other Alaska cities with areas many times larger than Anchorage.

	One of the most extreme cases of excessively generous city limits is Chongqing, China. There's 28 million people within city limits, but only about 6 million lives within its metro area. The rest are just too far away from the urban core in a city the size of South Carolina to count for the metro.

	Anchorage aside, there is a lot of urban sprawl in the top cities, particularly southern cities. Which still doesn't explain why I can never find parking in Nashville.

	Living in New Orleans, I was shocked to even see it on this list. I think of it as a cramped in space, compared to the urban sprawl of a Houston, for example. That being said, I was equally surprised by Anchorage being the largest.
