Hey! Will be more coming soon for all fellow Gleeks. Anyone think this would do better under 'Television' rather than 'Music'? Hope you like it :)

Definately keep it under music- I don't watch glee but know most of the songs from elsewhere so I can still get them

Does anyone know why this game's name and physical format have changed? It wasn't me... I'm not complaining because the format is definitely better with 5 columns, I'm just curious as to how it happened!

First word I guessed was "defying." Ugh I cannot freaking stand that they repeat the chorus three times in this cover. Sucks the life out.

"You don't have to be a Gleek to know this one" is misleading - this is not a well-known popular song. I think it's sad for Mr Sondheim that I've never heard this song, but could easily guess half of the lyrics, because they're overwrought pop song clichés.

@neeners- Wicked wasn't Sondheim, it was Stephen Schwartz.

I don't think many people who haven't seen Glee would get it, but I think it's a pretty definitive Glee song...

Strange distribution curve. Looks like 15% of us actually knew the lyrics and a larger percentage were good guessers. And then there were a lot who were neither.

Come on guys..its a song from a freaking musical that has never received any radio airplay. How would anyone that is not a broadway fanatic get this? Too obscure. These figure out the lyrics things are tough enough with hugely popular songs. You go this obscure and its just bad game writing.

I say that the info needs clarification. These are not the lyrics of Defying Gravity, they are the lyrics to Glee's cover of Defying Gravity. There is a difference.

wicked is one of the most popular musicals of this decade, its funny that people have never heard of this song (especially if they watch glee, in which case, why are you playing this game??) also, its definitely "aaaah" at the end, not "oooh"!!

You don't have to be a "broadway fanatic" to know this song. It's a pretty popular broadway song that many people have heard, all music quizzes aren't going to be songs on the radio, so I'm glad this got published!

I'm actually surprised that so many people say they're never heard the song, except for Glee! But maybe that's just cause I hung out with a bunch of theater geeks in high school, lol.

Broadway quizzes are constantly on the main page, and no one complains then. I don't know what you're doing on a Glee quiz anyway if you have no knowledge of Broadway music whatsoever. And honestly, I bet more people know this song than know the opening day lineup of the Milwaukee Brewers, or whetever opening day roster gets put up on the main page ever other day.

If you can, I'd suggest you slightly change the title; I knew the song was in Glee (which has covered several dozen songs) but when I read "Broadway Musical Song" I instantly knew it was Defying Gravity (Rose's Turn and the two Dreamgirls song also popped into my head) But leave a bit vaguer - the guessing makes it more fun =P

actually the last lyric is not ooooh or ahhhhh, it is "down" (sounds more like dooooooown). the ah vowel is sustained because in musical theatre the word "down" is sung d(ah+oo)n

@TL333s, this is a very popular song from an extremely famous musical... so don't call it unpopular @mcory, I for one am not Christian, but I am a religious person, and I wouldn't go around bashing people's taste in music. @Babies, LEARN HOW TO SPELL

As soon as it said it was a Broadway Musical covered by Glee, I knew it was Defying Gravity. It's the big Glee song from an episode about Kurt--a Very Important Character--and his father--a Very Important and Enlightened Portrayal of a Relationship--and a Choice Kurt Makes about Art and Family. I typed in "gravity" first and it showed up, and then I quit the quiz because I don't know the lyrics at all, and can't even hum the tune. I saw the episode, though. It was Very Important.

"ooooooooh"? ROFL. i love this song so much and when i found out it was going to be on glee i was super excited -- and then this happened. i like kurt, but IMHO this is a really poorly constructed cover. not much heart in it, to my ears. on the other hand, kristin chenoweth singing "maybe this time"... chills.
