It should accept "LA Law" for "L.A. Law". Other than that, love this quiz.

@Thalia: Great Quiz. I'm going to recommend it on a couple of my TV quizzes, including Sitcoms by Episode.

i sorta feel bad for the shows that have pilot listed as their best episode. if that was indeed the best, then that means its all downhill from there.

This list is way too biased towards historically good TV shows. "Turkeys Away" should be much higher.

Lazy choice for their "Wonder Years" pick. There are SO many amazing episodes of that show that far surpass Pilot, like Nemesis, St. Valentine's Day Massacre, Double Double Date, Heartbreak, Swingers, Don't You Know Anything About Women?... it goes on and on.

How is Buffy the Vampire Slayer better than The Cosby Show?

@ santosaurus: They're not claiming Buffy was better than Cosby. They're claiming that that one episode of Buffy was better than Cosby. I don't think Cosby ever did a full Broadway-style musical episode like that one.

Neat quiz. For a while I was certainly just guessing titles of shows that seemed like they ought to be on the list, but there were some episode titles I genuinely recognized, like #48 and #53 (which look like shows that people don't think of off the top of their heads, given their current guessed percentages).

I guess for Twin Peaks it was either going to be "Pilot," "Untitled", "Untitled", or my favorite episode of the series, "Untitled."

I cant believe that Newhart is not on this list. It had the best ending episode of all time, Bob wakes up next to Suzanne Pleshette(his wife in the Bob Newhart Show) and the whole show was a dream.

@Rifsun: You have no taste at all. `Untitled' was absolutely the worst episode of the series. Anyone can see that `Untitled' was vastly superior in all ways, most obviously the dialogue and camera work.

@star jumper: I didn't even bother to look at the episode titles. What amazed me was that I, who don't live in the US and hardly watch any TV, got a better score than over 50% of the people who've taken this quiz. How can that be?

Larry Sanders Show, on the of the greatest of all time, has it's best episode in at #50, whereas trash like Everybody Loves Raymond is in at #42. That makes me puke. Oh and this was just name lots of TV. Should have been line by line obviously.

This should have been a chance for those series that aren't critically acclaimed to make an appearance. Example '8 Simple Rules' was standard teen fair. But the episodes directly after the death of John Ritter were on a different level. Instead the list almost seems like a list of what are thought to be the best 100 series, then naming a best episode from each!

Always wish That 70s Show got more critical acclaim. Most of the time it was laugh out loud funny, except of course S8 which was a travesty and should never have seen the light of day. The Circle, the dream sequences, Red Forman.....it was classic. It was in my top 5 with Seinfeld, Friends, Dick Van Dyke and Scrubs.

For the most part, this list is for the birds, but as a quiz, it really does come down to naming shows at random after you've gotten all the ones you recognize. I will say this -- if it won't accept "Cosby" because you have to put "The Cosby Show," then I can be a pain right back and say, the proper name of the show is Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, and should show up that way. So there :)
