	Really embarrassed I missed the one next-door to where I live! (I can see it out of my window!!) I'd accept Durham for County Durham if it were me. Apart from that, great quiz! :o)

	Even though I'm a traditionalist I've taken on board the point about Durham and edited accordingly. However the Isle of Wight is listed as a ceremonial county in all the sources I can find, therfore it stays in.

	Isle of Wight is a county. It is very often thought of as part of Hampshire though. Good quiz. I found 6 minutes a bit excessive but maybe I've just memorized the counties too well.

	@TheSnowmanishere In the Middle Ages it was such a big and important city in terms of sea trade that it was granted county status in 1373, and became a 'county borough' in 1889. I have to say it seems a bit daft to keep referring to it as a 'county' today though, even in a ceremonial sense.

	I spent at least a minute typing and re-typing Middlesex for the spot where Merseyside is. I'd say it deserves a spot at least as much as Greater London if not more. Also, where is Westmorland? Avon? What is your rationale for what is a ceremonial county and what isn't? West Midlands is not a ceremonial county as far as I am concerned. Should at least be consistent with the Ceremonial Counties quiz.

	Devon is Devonshire.

	Traditionally it's Dorsetshire, Somersetshire, Devonshire and Rutlandshire. Even Norfolkshire and Suffolkshire aren't unknown. Also, I think the compiler of this quiz might be confused about what is a "Cer. County" (ie a Ceremonial County) and what is a current administrative county. Most of these aren't ceremonial counties.

	@Aurelian147 and @johnnyforeigner None of those has been officially referred to with a 'shire' in the name for at least 35 years. Being from Devon, I get very annoyed by people saying 'Devonshire' to sound all rustic. It's not correct.

	People should check their facts before moaning. For example, the Isle of Wight is a ceremonial county, but was part of Hampshire. @johnnyforeigner - are you deluded - Norfolk and Suffolk have never been referred to as Norfolkshire and Suffolkshire, because back in Anglo-Saxon times, Norfok and Suffolk were named so, meaning North Folk and South Folk respectively, like Essex derives from East Saxons. Check your facts before moaning about things you clearly have no clue about.
