I don't think this quiz works as well as you hope. The original safecracker quiz used lists that people were likely to know off the top of their heads, with the challenge of alphabetizing them within a time limit. On this quiz, the presidents are a reasonable starting point, but naming the colonies in order of *founding* (as opposed to order of joining the Union, which is a somewhat better-known ordering) is a little guessworky; and I gave up before I even started Combination 3, because I wasn't convinced I even knew the whole list, never mind being able to do it in order. I wonder what Combinations 4 and 5 are, and if they're any more plausible as lists people will know.

Combinations 4 and 5 are a bit harder, actually. This isn't meant to be an easy quiz. Either you know it or not. However, I may choose to add a minute or two. Let me know if that would be good or bad

I agree with Tahnan mainly. I know the 13 colonies but after Virginia and Mass I was guessing when they were founded and because of that I ran out of time in the Beatles albums

Well, I added more time. Hopefully that helps

The colonies should be alphabetized since there is no chronological sense to the order. The chronology is VA, MA, NH, MD, CT, RI, DE, NC, SC, NJ, NY, PA, GA as settled, but the date they became Royal Colonies is not entirely clear for all of them.

Far too hard. Guesswork on the 2nd column, as well as the 4th. The 3rd is not an all to common list, let alone in order. And the 5th is far too difficult.
