	Great quiz. Might want to specify in the instructions that they are U.S. cities (although that becomes apparent after a short while).

	"Venice of America" was just a term used by the real estate developer. As a city, it was just named "Venice" when it was annexed to Los Angeles. L.A. annexed a bunch of others, too: Eagle Rock, Hyde Park, Wilmington, Sawtelle, and Barnes City.

	@adamnvillani: I was trying to figure out what the official name was. It seems like it was incorporated as Venice of America, then became Venice when it became a neighborhood of LA. And a lot of these cities have many more annexed cities; I just limited it in the interest of not making the quiz excessively long (LA probably has 40+ of them)

	If it all possible, it'd be good to include ones that are more obvious hints, for us non-USers. For example, LA and NYC are easy enough, and, for those of us who know a bit about the US, we can figure out what city 'Germantown' belongs to and 'Ohio City'. However, after that, there aren't really any clues; you have to actually know where these places are, you can't deduce it. I understand if that's not possible (not enough hint-like place names), just a thought.

	Are you only including cities or towns that have been incorporated? If so, then Phoenix's two should not be on here, since Laveen and Ahwatukee never incorporated. Under Arizona law, if they had, then Phoenix would not have been allowed to annex them.

	@joebobs: there aren't many more obvious clues, so I tried to just go for the well known (I'll take any suggestions for replacements, since some were just shots in the dark). @TheBigE1980: I tried to do only incorporated areas, but that wasn't really possible, so I included ones that existed with some name and level of organization before annexation to the extent that they could be considered to have some sort of independent identity. @nwcancon: I knew that, actually, and just forgot. The United States Board on Geographic Names wanted to reduce ambiguity, so they more or less declared war on the apostrophe when compiling the place names of the US. Hence, few US place names have apostrophes. Thanks for catching me on that
