| Might want to either accept last names (as usual on Sporcle) OR specify in instructions that FULL names are required. I understand the reasoning behind the full names, but it was frustrating to start with. Alphabetically last answer with "6" is kind of treading into a gray area as the hits are generally credited to the MAN and not the group as the man pretty much was the group. Given the fact that at times he was billed on the singles as just "himself", "himself and his wife", "just the group", and "himself & the group", most music afficianados class ALL of those iterations under simply his name. In that case, he'd actually have SEVEN #1's. It is understandable to discount the two #1's he had as non-regular duets, but then again, as the duets were "special" and not part of a regular recording act, most people credit them to each artist as individuals. That would bring his total to NINE (plus add one each to the other two artists involved). |
