Neat idea! In the midst of people beating me to the punch with great quiz ideas all the time here's a great one that I would never have come up with...thanks!

Awesome quiz! But maybe the time could come down to 2:00 or even 1:00?

knowing that Baltimore and Detroit are crime riddled should've gotten you those cities. Getting Baltimore made me think of DC, which was hard because I always try to think of biggest cities in each state. I couldn't believe I got them all.

I think this quiz could be 2 min long, otherwise people can just start naming big cities.

I was hoping for an answer like Indianapolice to show up. Oh well, you can't get everything.

It's amazing that NYPD is almost three times bigger than the next city Chicago.

Oh what up, New York! It's pretty much in proportion with Chicago...Chicago has 37% of the police force of NY and 34% of the population. LA totally ruins my proportion theory, though...27% of the police force and 45% of the population. I stopped after that.

Detroit's decling population probably has led to a decline in the size of its police department.

Isn't Washington's police department called the "Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia?"

It is the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia (MPDC) because there is no government of the city of Washington. All offices including mayor, city counsel, and police department are of the District of Columbia, not Washington. - http://mpdc.dc.gov/mpdc/site/default.asp

^ Actually, the "City of Washington" has not existed since 1870. The city is officially named the District of Columbia

Frankly, I'm glad Detroit even made this list. I figured that by now its police force would have been quite depleted due to the declining population... and severe lake of money.
