No reason for the answers to not be in alphabetical order.
Feb 23rd, 2013 at 16:55 GMT
I agree that it should be alphabetised.
Feb 23rd, 2013 at 17:10 GMT
Here's one more for alphabetization.

there is also a Freud Museum in London, not just Vienna. Perhaps you should change that entry - Albertina, maybe? Kunsthistoriches?

Aren't the Vatican Museums inside Vatican City?
Feb 24th, 2013 at 05:20 GMT
The Palace Museum it's in Beijing, but it's almost empty: most of the works were taken to Taiwan during the Civil War, and they are displayed there, in a place also called Palace Museum. As there are "two Chinas", there are two "Palace Museums", and the one in Taipei is much better, at least regarding the works exhibited. Hope some day we can see the building (Forbidden City) and the exhibition reunited again (that doesn't mean I support the China-Taiwan reunification).

"If LACMA is in Los Angeles, the Pacific Science museum must be in one of the Pacific cities left: San Francisco of Seattle." Chooses San Francisco... Wrong. "Well, let's see next... The Deutsches Museum must be in one of the German cities: Munich of Berlin." Chooses Berlin... Wrong. "Ok, don't worry, let's go to next one... The Palazzo Ducale must be in one of the Italian cities except Rome, where the Vatican Museum is. That means Venice or Florence." Chooses Florence... Wrong. "Mmmh... I'd better go to sleep now." (I have been to Florence)

Minor spelling remark: it's Uffizi, not Ufizzi. Lots of Italian words have two z's, but not this one. (The double f is easier to remember: it's like in the English cognate "offices").

13/25.It would be a lot easier if it were in alphabetical order.

While there's only one Louvre, Uffizi etc., some of the answers are generic, with several other museums with the same name. Algiers, Hanoi and Maputo all have a Museum of the Revolution, for example. Keeping it to specific names would be better.

Very amusing (cringe at self)

I can't tell if it's a good thing or a bad thing that I didn't do very well.

Someone said it in the archived comments, but there's a Freud museum in London. OK, if I'd clicked through all the names before answering anything, I'd have seen the Tate Modern and realised, but it'd still be better not to use that.

Wow! I feel uncultured now. No mention of the Plani-arium in South Park, Colorado?

awww no mention of the Lawn Mower Museum in Southport, England?

The Exploratorium in Berlin is not a museum.
Mar 1st, 2013 at 22:33 GMT
Uffizi is *still* misspelled. Now it has (correctly) two f's but also two z's (and it should have only one). OK, there's pizza, palazzo, ragazza (girl) and lots more, but *this* particular Italian word has only one z.
Mar 1st, 2013 at 22:36 GMT
That is corrected.

Great game! Thanks for including the Deutsches Museum, a great place to spend the day.

Great quiz!!! Loved that you included my local favorite - The Exploratorium. A bit of Trivia: The Exploratorium was conceived/founded by Frank Oppenheimer who along with his brother Robert worked in Los Alamos/The Manhattan Project. A brilliant and kind man, I lived near him until his death in the mid 1980s. Theres a great book on him and the Exploratorium worth reading - "Something Incredible Happens: Frank Oppenheimer and the World He Made Up"

When I saw the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, I thought to myself "It can't be Cairo. It can't be that easy." I then picked London because I know Britain took a lot of Egyptian artifacts out of the country during the colonial era. Turns out, it was that easy.

*facepalm* I've got a gift-shop bag from the Albertina that was given to me...and I couldn't get that one right!

It could be a bit more challenging, especially in regards to Seoul's. Why was the National Museum of Korea even included?
