I spelled "Shere Khan" exactly as it's listed (except not capitalized), and my answer wasn't excepted. Other than that, I like it!

Here are some that I intentionally omitted - let me know if I should expand the quiz to include them (see next comment)...

Aslan (Chronicles of Narnia), Baby Jaguar (Go Diego Go!), CatDog (CatDog), Hobbes (Calvin and Hobbes), Mufasa (The Lion King), Nala (The Lion King), Persian (Pokemon), Nittany Lion (Penn State mascot), Sabor (Tarzan), Zakumi (2010 World Cup mascot)

@THEJMAN: While the quiz already has enough Lion King and Pokemon characters (two each), Hobbes, Aslan, and probably Zakumi would make interesting selections.

I'm surprised Tigger is so low - AA Milne must be spinning in his grave. But still a great quiz - 5/5!

The biggest omissions are Bill the Cat (from Bloom County)and Santa's Little Helper (from the Simpsons). There's Heathcliff, too. And Raja, from Aladdin.

@fidelio Santa's Little Helper is the dog in the simpsons, I think you mean Snowball II

Suggestions welcome for a sequel. 25 needed - here's what I have: Aslan, Baby Jaguar, CatDog, Hobbes, Mufasa, Nala, Persian, Sabor, Zakumi, Bill the Cat, Snowball II, Heathcliff, and Raja. (13)

Good quiz, though I wouldn't have believed you could pull 100 people at random off the face of the planet earth and have less than half of them recognize Tigger. Suggestions: Mr. Snuffles from Pearls Before Swine, Krazy Kat, Lucifer from Cinderella, and (for Peanuts experts only) Faron.

Others: Eek the Cat, Mad Cat (from Inspector Gadget), Mr. Bigglesworth, Jess (Postman Pat's cat)...Cat from Red Dwarf would be good, but possibly confusing.

Think Aslan should be on here as a significant character in a famous series. Would also like to have seen Mr Bigglesworth!

@thejman: Another suggestion for your sequel: Si and Am from Lady and the Tramp. "Where we're finding baby there are milk nearby".
