Jerusalem is the legal, actual capital of Israel. Tel Aviv is just where the foreign embassies are due to the split political status of Jerusalem.

2 minutes would be more than enough time for this.

How exactly are you defining "Islamic Heartland"? Why is there no Tunisia, UAE, Bahrain, Oman or Qatar?

As per UN convention Jerusalem is not part of Israel and Taiwan and Kosovo are not countries (and I agree), but since sporcle tends to side with the US State Dept over the UN I would agree that it should be Jerusalem and not Tel Aviv.

Indonesia has more Muslims than any other country, so what you mean by heartland is vague. Rabat, I would argue, is know no more important an Islamic city than Islamabad, Pakistan, or Jakarta, Indonesia.

yea kind of a weird quiz, way too much time and a lot of this is subjective, thanks for taking the time to put it together though!

For "heartland" I would strictly think within the Arabian peninsula.

We're all ignoring the most glaring error that the title asks for capitals and the quiz asks for countries.

I believe you left Oman out, a nation i believe would definitely count as being in the "Islamic Heartland".
