Good quiz. Something wrong with the stats though. I got Comoros, Morocco & Togo but they're all coming up as 0%.

It seems inconsistent to include Egypt but not Cyprus or Kyrgyzstan.

Yes, the 'y' in Egypt is a vowel (as in Cyprus and Kyrgyzstan).

I get the same problem as crover: in the individual answer statistics, all the "o" countries are showing up as 0%. The percentile statistics are showing up fine though, with a fair few people getting all or nearly all correct.

Yemen should be a regular answer rather than a bonus.

Loved this quiz! Was a bit confused by the Ys though too.

Why is Yemen a bonus? The "y" clearly isn't a vowel in that word.

I wasn't entirely clear on when y is a vowel vs. consonant. Especially in foreign origin words like Seychelles and Myanmar. I've taken Egypt out as an answer because it clearly has a vowel sound for the y like Kyrgyzstan and Cyprus. Does anyone have a good source to reference on when y is a vowel vs consonant? And I have no idea why we're not getting statistics for the os. My first thought was that answers after the bonus answers weren't being recorded, but then why is there data for Fiji?

Y should count as a consonant in words like Yemen, Seychelles, and Egypt. The only time it counts as a vowel is if there is not an A, E, I, O, or U in the word already. Thus, for a word like 'cry' or 'gypsy,' Y is a vowel, but in a word like merry, it counts as a consonant.
