Tahnan : Dec 9th, 2012 at 15:46 GMT 2 points It's a nice idea, but it seems that some of the movies end up being rather obscure. ("Twilight of the Ice Nymphs"?)
Studogc : Dec 9th, 2012 at 15:59 GMT 1 point @ Tahnan. You're right, there were plenty of movies with single word titles or called 'The' something but neither are very useful in a missing words quiz.
needapausebutton : Dec 13th, 2012 at 04:38 GMT 2 points @Studogc: Can you expand the quiz to include books or other sources, and thus enable the quiz to have a few more well-known choices?
needapausebutton : Dec 30th, 2012 at 20:04 GMT 2 points ^ As another quiz relating to mythological creatures has now also been contributed (with a different twist), let me know if you want to try to adjust this per my comment above? - napb (you can e-mail me per my profile page address)
Studogc : Jan 6th, 2013 at 17:35 GMT 2 points @needapausebutton: I've made a few changes to incorporate some book titles in place of some of the more obscure movie titles. I'm not sure whether the book titles are any less obscure than what they are replacing but I'll see how it goes.
needapausebutton : Jan 8th, 2013 at 22:33 GMT 2 points OK. I think re-arranging the clues so that the answers appear alphabetically will also greatly help (and mention that in your game notes). Also, see if you can find a way to balance the two columns so they are even. (I can help you with that with some "tricks" if you need help - let me know by e-mail). Thanks!

Penbee : Mar 2nd, 2013 at 05:06 GMT 3 points "demon" (singular) took, despite the title being plural, but "dwarf" did not.
Syzygy_314159 : Mar 2nd, 2013 at 17:29 GMT 3 points Are these meant to be in alphabetical order? Because they all are, except for ghost/giant.
ezois : Mar 2nd, 2013 at 17:36 GMT 3 points If anyone is interested, dwarfs are not mythological.
BLUESPICYCUSHY : Mar 2nd, 2013 at 18:44 GMT 1 point Yes, they are also known as midgets, little people, and pygmys.
lynarii : Mar 2nd, 2013 at 23:07 GMT 2 points dwarfs (or dwarves) are in many mythologies from Norse legends to Tolkien's fantasy. They are a seperate race from humans (meaning they are not humans).
In reality, 'dwarf' is a term used for people with dwarfism because the word 'dwarf' means small, in the same way that 'giant' means large.
Admittedly the dwarfs in snow white are just small people, not the race, but the quiz is using movie titles to make you type mythological words. the Iron Giant isn't really a movie about a giant from mythology but the clue is just as valid.
Cool Quiz, good job.
707penguin : Mar 3rd, 2013 at 01:20 GMT 3 points If only I had typed "rock" more slowly.
Keonyn : Mar 3rd, 2013 at 01:23 GMT 1 point Yup, dwarves as in the mythological generally subterranean race often depicted in lore and fiction is what is being referenced.
