Your accepted phrases of "Cali--" "Oh--" "Illi--" are such a hassle since I keep trying to type the FULL name. Good quiz otherwise.

Sorry to frustrate you! I set it up to accept standard two-letter postal abbreviations for all states for those who get tired of typing the full names over and over.

You should put that in the rules up top. I got frustrated with it too, at the beginning, but it really helps once you get used to it. Good quiz.

Nicely done. Agree with Observer, once I got used to it the postal abbreviations made it much more enjoyable.

Being forced to name these in order was a hassle. If there was some way to force you to answer the five states in each year without showing the answers for the others, I would have really liked this q

This was fun, but I would have liked just one more minute...

SUGGESTION: Move 6th bullet up to first place. Wish I'd noticed that postal abbreviations were acceptable!

@RS89: its really not. without it, it is just another name every state quiz. you are probably just upset that you sucked at the quiz. also i could have used another minute or 2.

I really liked it as it is. The only change might be to add in a few more censuses.

If it wasn't in order, you'd just have to type in New York (or NY) and the board lights up like a Christmas tree. While its cool to watch, it makes for a lame quiz. This was nice, although I do think an extra couple of minutes would help. I also wish there could be a setting to have you name those in one "block" at a time, instead of in order in each census.

Answering in order is fine, but 5 minutes is a bit short to get through them all then.

I had trouble with that 5th place spot.

nice quiz, but way too little time. You either set it with no order restriction or you add couple of minutes. I'd say the later. You should also state that postal abbreviations are allowed even though I doubt that helps non americans.

Crazy you have to do it in order. Do it without order, make it top ten, then it's fine. Postal abbreviations don't really help those of us not from/living in the US

Agree with JoeyBeauchamp; ordering is stupid, like the top ten idea to make it more challenging and less about New York/California etc., and for the millions of non-US Sporcle players the abbreviations don't help.

This is the FIRST states quiz I've come across that accepts postal abbreviations - WAY TO GO!
