verrrry difficult. Although a couple choices i loved (Queens of the Stone Age with Wilson Pickett is sure to make for a good quiz)

I didn't actually think it would be too difficult. Obviously there are listening bias, but I thought these songs were still quite popular. Maybe with a couple exceptions, these songs were singles or a prominent song from that band or artist. I also did not really want to duplicate artists that were on the other three quizzes (obviously I did, but I had to, to prevent the game from being ridiculously hard.) I even dug into the stuff I used to listen to because I thought it would make it easy. Sorry guys.

Five seconds wouldn't have helped in a lot of cases--my wife and I got ten of the 40, but there were very few if any that we didn't get because of time. Rather, there were some where we knew the song but hearing the whole thing wouldn't have helped us with the title (e.g., the Moby song); some where we didn't know the song at all; and then a lot where, once the answers were revealed, we hadn't even heard of the band. Which I think is inevitable when you've got this diverse a selection; whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is up to you.

Awesome to see that you went out and made your own sound quiz, thats really cool. There were a bunch of songs that I really liked here, and I thoroughly enjoyed listening through, even the ones I had never heard of. Although I must say it feels like you tried really hard not to pick the obvious song for each band, which I realized isn't that great of a decision for when you're only using 3 second clips. If you had chosen any other Incubus, Pearl Jam or Muse song I would have gotten it no problem. Otherwise, nice job, it always makes me happy to see other people trying out the sound quizzes.

If most people got only 1-4, it's pretty clear the song choices were a tad to obscure. I love these quizzes, but this one was too tough. It's not diverse enough. For one, I don't think there's one female artist on this entire list. That being said, I still had fun (I got more than most), but it was a bit obscure.

Very difficult... but can I just say, OMG Jackson C Frank was the LAST person I would EVER expect to turn up in one of these quizzes... and it was one of only 7 that I got right! Awesome shout on using one of his songs... a tragic life, compounded by the fact that he's nearly completely forgotten - if anyone reads this, please please hunt him down, he was a fantastic musician (so much so that Paul Simon used the money he mae from the first Simon & Garfunkel album to produce what turned out to be Frank's only album.) RIP Jackson.

I'll commend you for putting Sigur Ros and Sam Cooke in here. Those are actually two of my all-time favorite songs. But the quiz was pretty difficult. I knew a good amount of them, but not well enough to know the song title right off the bat.

Jeez, I almost always get more than half (and often far more than half) on these... and on this one, I got eleven. But at least there was some Yeah Yeah Yeahs action!

Hardest one of these yet for me, but it put a huge smile on my face when I heard Lets Make the Water Turn Black. Great choice!

Like everyone said, very esoteric song choices. I was really impressed when Matisyahu came on, but then I hardly recognised any after that!

3 seconds is ok, but there should be more gap between the songs to allow time for thinking and typing.

well done with the immortal technique you should also accept "Con Te Partiro" for the Andrea Bocelli song, since that is it's italian name, or "Por Ti Volare" in spanish

You've got one error I noticed in the title of the Incubus song--the second word should be pluralized (the Wikipedia link on the results page even re-directs to the correct name). Overall I enjoyed the quiz, but I do feel like if you make another one you might aim to mix in a few more mainstream choices so people don't lose interest when they get a few songs in and aren't familiar with non-single tracks from bands like Neutral Milk Hotel and other relatively obscure songs.

Bad song choice. I would love to see an 80's version of this quiz.

This was by far the hardest music clip quiz I've taken yet. Very obscure choices, which is great, but I actually think the time of the clips is part of the problem. 3 seconds only works well for very popular songs or songs with well-known hooks. Having a few more seconds of a lot of these might help...but I also know these quizzes take effort to make, so not sure you'd want to tinker too much.

Two Headed Boy! Still only got 5, I'd only heard of one other one on top of that. Some very obscure songs. Also I hate when Weird Al is included on music quizzes!

Nice to see a different style of music represented. Sigur Ros, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Iron & Wine, Sam Cooke, Snow Patrol, Leonard Cohen, Simon & Garfunkel, Neutral Milk Hotel and Justice, what's not to love? Just fix the typos and you should be fine.

It's been mentioned already, but it hasn't been fixed, so I'll say it again. The Incubus song is called "Talk Shows on Mute", not "Talk Show on Mute".

Eh, needs some work. As mention above, "Porcelain" is the right spelling (I had to actually guess the wrong spelling, but it worked). Also, "Land of a Thousand Dances" should trigger Wilson Pickett.
