I just learned this, via Wikipedia: There is a county in Wyoming called Niobrara; it is 2,626 square miles but contains only 2,407 people. My town- which is not a large town by any definition- is over 4,000 times more densely-populated. In about 1/215th the space, we have nineteen times more people. Than an entire county in Wyoming.
Now, I thought that was insane, but then I saw this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loving_County,_Texas
An entire county with a population of 67, good for one person for every ten square miles. My mind is officially blown. |
