	I believe what manthisiscrap is saying that for bittersweet to be an oxymoron, bitter would have to be the opposite of sweet, as opposed to sour being the opposite. Sour and sweet are just two different tastes (like chocolate and vanilla are two flavors), so you can't really say one is the opposite of the other.

	By manthisiscrap's logic, I'm going to say that since sweet and sour sauce is an oxymoron of sorts, sour is the opposite of sweet. Or I could just simply remind him that sour is indeed, may I say undeniably, the opposite of sweet, because it is, undeniably so.

	While the clue is obvious as it is, I wouldn't say that sour is the opposite of sweet either. They are just two different types of flavors. If they were opposites you would expect some kind of neutralization effect when they're combined, but that obviously doesn't occur, as with sweet and sour sauce or sour candy. Sweetness is known to neutralize bitterness (as in tonic water) and hotness in some instances, but I would hesitate to say that either of these are "opposite" to sweetness either.

	@TheKingOfCaramel - "Bittersweet" is a well known oxymoron, "sweet and sour" is a well known sauce, not an oxymoron. Thank you for proving to everyone for me how stubborn and ignorant you are by saying sour is "undeniably" the opposite of sweet, as if it is common knowledge and even the suggestion of bitter being the opposite would be outrageous.
