No Roy Oswalt? Also, I agree with JohnJF; Wainwright should be on this list somewhere.

I think this list is pretty accurate. Maybe some guys moving up or down a spot. Go_Habs_Go....Wainwright is on the list. Really don't think that Santana belongs on the list since he hasn't even started to throw yet and isn't expected back until June/July. Don't see Oswalt making the top 10 and I am a Phillies fan. Jimenez will most likely be on the list next year.

Apparently the people that think Lester should be lower haven't seen him pitch on a regular basis. Career numbers, 61-25, 3.55, 712 K.

This is not at all directed at the quiz, but rather at the MLB network: Sabathia at number 4 is a joke. Why is he four spots above Wainwright?

Santana's done. This list isn't too bad. I'd probably have Greinke on it though.

My list: Halladay, Hernandez, Wainwright, Lincecum, Lee, Price, Johnson, Lester, Sabathia, Cain.

lftyg33, you nailed it. Greinke's better than Sabathia, Price, and probably Verlander, right? Otherwise, this list seems spot on.

Verlander will be higher on the list after this upcoming season. He'll be more consistent and have a better ERA

is there something about jon lester i dont know about that people are complaining about him being #5 .. i guess a career 3.55 ERA in the AL Easst is easier than i thought

I think I probably would have had Clay Buchholz on here after his stellar year, but on the other hand, he may need another great year to prove himself as an elite pitcher. A 2.33 ERA for 2010 is tough to ignore though.

Carpenter will be 36 this year. as a Cards fan, I wish he were on here...Greinke should be on here.

Verlander is one of the most underrated players in baseball that curveball is just filthy especially when paired with mid to high 90s heat

I'd probably put Greinke over Verlander, but this list is pretty good for the most part.

Obviously it's opinion so there will never be true peace in the comments section. However, I do find this list generally well-compiled.

jimenez has had one good year. i think that's why he's not on here. that said, it doesn't explain why david price and josh johnson are on here.

good year greinke is overrated his good year was 2009 his 2010 wasn't that good (i know he played on a bad team) i would like to see josh johnson high and matt cain on the list maybe move verlander to 11....my list would be halladay, lee, hernandez, lincecum, johnson, wainwright, lester, sabathia, price, cain

@kevin98789 Greinke still had a pretty good statistical 2010 without much run support, but it became clear near the end that he wasn't really giving it 100%. I'm curious how he'll do in Milwaukee.

I think Wainwright should be higher. He's finished 3rd and 2nd in the Cy Young in the last two seasons, compiling a 39-19 record with a 2.53 ERA and he's now just 29. I disagree with the people saying Buchholz should be on here. He had a very low ERA but he was very lucky last season too with a very low, unsustainable BABIP (batting average of balls in play). I expect his ERA to be around 3.50 next season.

steelnationa86: Even in Ubaldo's best season by far he wasn't better than Wainwright.
