	You would expect better from the people at Guinness. For instance, Goldeneye is NOT a video game series. Also, Lego Batman but no Lego series?! It's not the authors fault, this is how the list actually is.

	Obviously a bad list. If it even thought to poll the Japanese then I can assume that Dragon Quest would be pretty high on here

	You've all mentioned valid criticisms, but the most egregious errors are the placement of the Mario and Zelda franchises at anything BUT numbers 1 & 2, as well as the utter lack of the Metroid series. It just looks like the list is chronologically biased. Halo/Call of Duty are excellent, excellent franchises for the most part, but Mario and Zelda have been just as amazing for decades. Literally.

	Well...this is from an online poll, so the results seem...right for an online poll. But in reality, according to game sales (and Wikipedia :) )Mario is first, followed by Pokemon, Tetris, the Sims, Need of Speed, and Final Fantasy. Halo is WAY down there at 36 and COD is at 15. What a difference!

	I actually chuckled from Gears Of War being in the top 10 and starred at the screen wondering how i could've misspelled "Street Fighter" until I realized it wasn't on the list

	Well this is just terrible. No Metroid, Kirby, Castlevania, BUT GOLDENEYE!? Great game, not a series. Mario not being at number 1 = I quit

	Legend of Zelda and Mario absolutely must make up the top two slots. No other series has had such consistently high scoring and fun games.

	@hollabackitsobi and naf165: Yes, Mario and Zelda are easily top 3. However, Final Fantasy joins them as the third in the top 3, and the number 1 spot is up for grabs among the 3.

	Also Pong? And "Tom Clancy's"??? There are a lot of Tom Clancy games, but they are multiple franchises and single games (like the Rainbow Six franchise and the EndWar single game), they don't count as one franchise. I don't know who voted on the poll, but a lot of them sure don't know anything about videogames. @Frigidevil: Goldeneye is a series, there are two games in it: the extremely good Goldeneye 007 on N64 and the extremely mediocre Rogue Agent on multiple 128bit consoles.

	there are some wonders in the world, like the Great Pyramids and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, as well as how Final Fantasy is lower than a game that takes 50% of its characters from Final Fantasy
