Inspired by the description for Minute Math (Mixed Operations) Let me know if anything is too easy/too hard/should be removed. :D

I like the idea, but it'd be nice to have either fewer questions, more time, or for it to go in order. I wasted a lot of time going "Now, where's that next question?" and then having to process whatever it was. But maybe this is just part of these Minute Math quizzes? Since most of them are just arithmetic, I've been avoiding them, so I wouldn't now.

d/dx [ 3x^3 ] at x = 2, 3*3*(2^2) = 18? great quiz though.

Can you even do one of these problems in a minute? LOL Maybe if you know this stuff, but not me! I did take calculus in high school, but that was 10 years ago!

When doing this test for the first time, in solving the square root of the derivative of the tan(x), sec(x)=1/cos(x). As a result, 1/cos(x) was not counted as an answer. I would recommend that you accept either answer.

Yeah, it is just an awful lot to read, you either need 10 of them in 1 minutes, or up the time limit to 2 minutes. Once you do that, you'll be an editor's pick :)

Yowzle... that time is tight! I just finished _grading_ a calculus exam, and only got 8/10 on this... a good challenge, I guess :-D

Reading these is just too difficult. Since you're stuck without an equation typesetter, it's hard to parse the higher order derivatives quickly. The few evaluated at a point threw me for a few moments as well.

√ ( d/dx [ tan(x) ] ) is |sec(x)|, not sec(x).

Wow. Too many problems-not enough time. But I'm glad to know I learned something this year-I should e-mail this to my calc teacher! Got 9 the first time, 18 the third. :)

for people moaning about the time, quizzes like this should be constructed such that getting all 20 is near impossible. you shouldnt walk up to a maths quiz thinking hurr im good at maths easy get them all. its a challenge and timewise its pretty much bang on

I agree on the time, though visually it is maybe hard to do. I got all with 11 sec left, and felt I could have done better.

I agree that getting perfect should be hard. I don't like quizzes that cluster too strongly at the top. Do people still think 2 minutes is too little?

Too much time now. Drop it to one miute, and maybe (MAYBE) take off 2-3 questions. I haven't done derivatives in over a year and I still ended with almost a minute left.

finished with 13 seconds to spare, i dont know why everyone is complaining about the time its probably just that you don't know enough calculus.

I think you should accept x^-1 and/or x^(-1) for the derivative of ln|x|. I know it was partly me being stupid but I kept trying those without thinking of 1/x.

Timing is perfect....if you're currently in school, this may seem easier, but for those of us who graduated more than 10 years ago, it takes a little while to remember the trig derivatives and rules around e and ln. If you haven't taken calculus, stop whining, this quiz isn't for you.

Not bad. Wouldn't have minded more variety in the questions, but then, it's hard to type mathematics in a web browser.
