Think about all the thunder storms that go through Tornado Alley in May. I figured that Oklahoma City or Topeka would have to make the list for May.

@honkytonkman- Snow is counted as the volume of water that would result if it melted, which is about 1 inch of rain for every 10 inches of snow.

I wonder if Salem is pretty close to being on both lists, at least if nearby Portland is any indication? This year, the PDX had over 50" of rain, but virtually none of that came in Jul-Sep when it went over 100 days w/nothing more than a trace in any given day.
