Notes: Some coins from P, S and W are produced without Mint Marks. Bonus includes the only US Mint not located in the Continental United States (Operated 1920–1922, 1925-1941)

Stopped operating in 1861...I wonder if that might be significant?

Probably the same as a UK mint, only in the US - so, a place where coins are minted for the central bank. (Actually, the mint marks did help - they wouldn't over here. In case you're wondering, "J" is "Hamburg" - no idea why.)

I would not have gotten 'D' in a million years. I probably won't even get it next time.

Interesting: Dahlonega, San Francisco, and Carson City were all started shortly after strikes of gold, gold, and silver, respectively. Totally makes sense, and yet it didn't occur to me at all. (The others may have been started for proximity to various metals, but I'm not familiar enough with their histories to know.)

New Orleans should have been NO.

To Kellkris... "NO" is not a mint mark. While the city is named New Orleans, the "O" mint marked letter is shown on coins made at the New Orleans mint.

Got them all with 1 minute, 30 seconds left! Too much time. You should make it 2 minutes or something.
