The Battle of Badung Strait was fought at night on 19th February 1942 between American-British-Dutch-Australian Command (ABDACOM)led by Karel Doorman and a Japanese Convoy led by Kyuji Kubo. It was a significant victory for Japan, demonstrating considerable superiority in night fighting. As a result, the Dutch were unable to hold onto Bali. Although the convoy and ABDACOM were on paper better matched, Japanese victory is more impressive considering only 4 destroyers took part in the action.
