| That's got to suck being on the ballot 15 times and not getting in. The only ones that a decent argument can be made for, though, are John, Parker, Kaat, and Garvey.
Barring a major change in voting, Dale Murphy, Don Mattingly, and Alan Trammell will almost certainly be added to this list over the next four years. Jack Morris has missed 13 times, but his last vote total was 66.7% so 75% isn't out of the question. Lee Smith has missed 10 times, but he's only just over 50%, which is better than where Bert Blyleven was after his 10th try, so he could go either way. |
