I totally didn't get Ness simply because it didn't have Loch in front of it...

@Chromatos: well, I suppose it's for consistency. If the answer appeared as "Loch Ness" someone would ask why Titicaca hasn't a Lago in front of it or Ladoga hasn't an Ozero behind it.
