Aldershot Town were formed out or the ashes of Aldershot and are now in the league. Burton United were formed by a merger of Burton Swifts and Burton Wanderers. South Shields moved to Gateshead and changed its name in 1930. Glossop North End rather than Glossop was the name of this particular club. Leeds City were disbanded by the league due to corruption, but were reformed as Leeds United the following year and are still a league club. Rotherham United were formed by a merger of Rotherham County and Rotherham Town and are a current league club. Wigan Borough went bust in 1931, but were revived as Wigan Athletic the following year and are a current Premier League club. Wimbledon were highjacked by Milton Keynes Dons so continue to exist as a league club (albeit without any soul). AFC Wimbledon are the true continuation of this club. |
