Helton is a great player, he should not be on this list. I love how the World Series champs Giants have two guys on here.

All MLB players are overpaid IMHO.

if hitting almost 150 homers in the past 4 seasons while hitting over .300 twice qualifies for being overpaid then i guess everyone is overpaid

One of the better Bleacher Report lists, actually. Not like there's much stiff competition or anything.

Derek Jeter hit like .270, not much power or speed, awful defense (don't let the stupid Gold Glove fool you) and made over $20 million...yet A-Rod is the one on this list?

I guess Jeter deserved his $20 Million?

Barry Zito should be #1 on this list. When you make that kind of money and don't even make your team's playoff roster, you are definitely overpaid.

kenshin kawakami earning 7.3 million dollars in the braves minor league is pretty overpriced. at least some of these contributes to the team

It would be better if they took the WAR of each player and compared it to their salary and used the ratio to compile this list.

Gil Meche made $11 million to throw only 61 2/3 innings with a 5.69 ERA. How many wins did the Royals No. 2 starter get this year, you ask? ZERO! NONE! He was paid $11 million and didn't get a single win, missing much of the season with injury.

My mistake ... Meche actually made $12.4 million. That's just awesome.

This is a bleacher report list, therefore it is not worth arguing about. Those lists are terrible.
