Apr 18th, 2010 at 01:12 GMT
^What he said times a million
Apr 27th, 2010 at 13:56 GMT
this is a good quiz, but you can't skip ahead to the next question if you dont know the answer.i have never seen Donnie Darko and i had no idea what the answer was and i had to end the game.
Apr 27th, 2010 at 13:58 GMT
you know what forget it!...this game sucks!!!
May 6th, 2010 at 16:49 GMT
Poor selection of answers accepted.......I typed in he dies, he kills himself and even HE SACRIFICES HIMSELF for the Donnie Darko answer and you'll only accept "by sacrificing himself", fix your quiz or you'll keep getting a 1 rating.
May 6th, 2010 at 23:37 GMT
the quiz sucks pretty bad right now, but if it accepted more answers (especially for the donnie darko and memento ones) it would be really good.
May 7th, 2010 at 02:30 GMT
What? By sacrificing himself? Kelly even said on the dvd that donnie didn't have to die. He saved the world by correcting the tear in time caused by the plane engine
May 7th, 2010 at 05:00 GMT
This is the worst quiz. YOu need to accept more answers or just have single response answers like 'dead' or 'ghost' or 'sacrifice' or 'dies' or 'father'. You suck. Badddd.
May 7th, 2010 at 19:35 GMT
The fourth question breaks the first rule of project mayhem!
May 8th, 2010 at 01:46 GMT
You need tobe much more lenient in your answers.
May 8th, 2010 at 03:52 GMT
you sooooo need to accept more answers. this is severely frustrating!
May 8th, 2010 at 13:24 GMT
I knew the answers but had absolutely no idea how you wanted them written. Spent quite a while Googling to make sure that I wasn't misremembering the films, then it took aaaaaaaages to work out what you wanted. Tried about 20 different things for Donnie Darko and still didn't get it.
May 8th, 2010 at 13:41 GMT
The memento one is also truly terrible
May 8th, 2010 at 16:18 GMT
Bruce Willis "is a ghost?" No. He is dead would be more acceptable. No one just thinks, Oh he is probably a ghost.
May 8th, 2010 at 16:32 GMT
In addition to everything else, I don't know how you make a quiz like this without Soylent Green. I mean come on...
May 8th, 2010 at 16:50 GMT
Agree with pretty much everyone, particularly the Donnie Darko question. Frustrating as hell
May 8th, 2010 at 16:51 GMT
awful, just awful
May 8th, 2010 at 16:57 GMT
Who is Luke's father? ($100)? Darth Vader Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back Who kills Dumbledore? ($200)? Severus Snape Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince What is revealed about Bruce Willis? ($500)? He's a ghost Sixth Sense Why do people call Edward Norton 'sir?' ($1000)? He is Tyler Durden Fight Club Who is Keyser Soze? ($2000)? Verbal The Usual Suspects What is in the box Brad Pitt gets at the end of the movie? ($4000)? His wife's head Se7en What is Rosebud? ($8000)? A sled Citizen Kane Question? Spoiler Movie Who did Bruce Willis see getting killed? ($16000)? An older version of himself 12 Monkeys How does Donnie save the world? ($32000)? By sacrificing himself Donnie Darko What does Guy Pearce's memory fail to tell him? ($64000)? His wife survived her attack Memento Good idea, EXTREMELY poor execution. I'm done

May 8th, 2010 at 18:42 GMT
This quiz might work a LOT better the other way around (you give the spoilers, we give the movies). There's a gazillion ways to word the same spoiler, but a movie has only one title.
May 8th, 2010 at 19:21 GMT
Good idea, terrible execution. And by the way they never actually definitively show that Guy Pearce's wife survived her attack...that is just what Teddy tells Guy, and Teddy is the same guy who has been using Guy for years. The real twist of Memento is that Guy sets himself up to kill Teddy in the future. You need to accept more answers in general.
May 8th, 2010 at 20:15 GMT
You should accept "He is Tyler" for the Fight Club question
May 9th, 2010 at 00:27 GMT
When you know the answer but can't figure out how the quizmaker worded it, which prevents you from moving on in the quiz, despite knowing the answer...that's a major problem.
May 9th, 2010 at 02:31 GMT
Please accept "He is dead" and "He is a ghost," not just "He's dead" and "He's a ghost." "Dead" and "ghost" would also probably be sufficient.
May 9th, 2010 at 03:42 GMT
lame ... i feel like my time wasting was wasted ... so lame
May 9th, 2010 at 05:25 GMT
Accepts "he dies" on Donnie Darko.
May 9th, 2010 at 09:15 GMT
accept "his older self" for 12 monkeys. Accept a sleigh for Citizen Kane. In momento you discover so many things in the end: for example I wrote he planted evidence to kill John/Teddy which is true and a surprising spoiler. The guy he was looking for all along turns out to be someone he wanted to murder for fun. He stole the money. He planted evidence. He is taken advantage of by the woman. He was the one who nearly killed his wife not somebody else.Donnie Darko he travels time.. is really the way he saved the world. Jim carrey is the name of the actor you should specify... who plays topsy krotts... Jim carrey isn't the name of any cahracter
May 9th, 2010 at 23:13 GMT
This is ridiculous. I gave up at the Sixth Sense question. I know whiling away the hours on Sporcle may not be the most constructive use of time, but I'm not going to sit around forever trying to figure out the exact wording you want. Lame.
May 10th, 2010 at 07:34 GMT
This needs to be fixed. It's not clear in Se7en whether or not it's his wife's head or unborn child. Donnie doesn't have to die in the end of the movie, he only has to remove the Artifact so the Tangent Universe can collapse safely. Rosebud is actually a gimmick. Rumors spread by Gore Vidal say that it's an nickname Hearst used for his mistress, as a reference to her clitoris. Obviously, I got stuck at the Donnie Darko question.
May 10th, 2010 at 12:07 GMT
Agree with the majority on the problems with this quiz. Also any millionaire style game which has Harry Potter as the second question gets a thumbs down from me. I has anyone who's not a Harry Potter fan or parent of one seen any of them movies?????
May 10th, 2010 at 16:53 GMT
I 28th the wording problem. I have enough frustration in my life without some wordsmith who refuses to self-edit. I had to stop at the Se7en question because I forgot a pronoun. So sad.
May 10th, 2010 at 17:00 GMT
I didn't think this was as terrible as everyone is saying, but that Donnie Darko one is pretty brutal. Not only is it technically incorrect (his death doesn't actually fix anything; it's the removal of the plane engine), but it's also too hard to get. Shouldn't 'suicide' work well enough? And then Memento...there are like a billion things that his memory doesn't tell him, that's kind of the point, right?
May 10th, 2010 at 17:02 GMT
he is a ghost isnt even accepted hahaha...also how about dead...hes dead...he is dead..not alive..etc
May 10th, 2010 at 17:14 GMT
sacrificing himself should be accepted...although the person who removes the duplicate/artifact from the tangent universe always dies...so i think you should accept removes duplicate/artifact/jet engine
May 10th, 2010 at 22:05 GMT
You should accept "Her sister and daughter" without a capitalized "AND" for the Chinatown question. I know Dunaway's inflection emphasizes the "and" in the movie, but the capitalization here just limits and frustrates.

NEXT BUTTON IS NEEDED!
May 11th, 2010 at 20:36 GMT
are you ****ing kidding me. how many different ways am i supposed to say bruce willis is dead. i actually put ghost but noooooooo, that doesn't work? these chain games are ****ing horrible and way too picky with answers!!!!!!!!!!!!
May 12th, 2010 at 00:58 GMT
@fingon: sporcle doesn't differentiate between capital and lower case, so it must have been another problem. @Shermanator: I sympathize with how hard it is to anticipate a variety of guesses, but to combine that with the hidden clue format is just way over the top frustrating.
May 12th, 2010 at 15:47 GMT
Bruce Willis is not a ghost he is dead.
May 12th, 2010 at 16:06 GMT
Pretty cool quiz, I didn't have much trouble getting my answers accepted. The only one that took me some time was the one for Se7en. my first guess was "gwyneth paltrow" then "gwyneth paltrow's head" then "a head" then I got it right. ;D Anyway, had to quit at 12 monkeys because I haven't seen it and I don't want it spoiled for me.
