	Why, pray tell, does Onno's comment have so many thumbs-downs? That's an entirely legitimate alternative which Alanis often sings in live performances. Tried it myself and was rather disappointed it didn't show up as a bonus or anything. But in any event, yeah, the fact that the song contains so very little genuine irony is, itself, highly ironic. Which pretty much makes Alanis, if perhaps unintentionally, one of the most successful trolls in modern entertainment history.

	There was a comedienne in the 90's who said... "No Alanis, those are all unfortunate but not ironic." "A Scotsman cloning sheep, that's ironic!" Naming the national airport after the president who fired all of the air traffic controllers, that's ironic!"

	Funny story about the ten thousand spoons- Alanis told her caterer she was having 10,000 Maniacs over for dinner, but the caterer didn't realize that was just the name of a band. He figured it would be prudent to keep sharp knives and forks away from maniacs, which is how she wound up with ten thousand spoons.

	This always drives me nuts. Alanis is an extremely careful lyricist. She's making fun of people who use the word "ironic" falsely. Pretty sure she has said that in interviews as well.

	Was surprised to see my name in the comments. Had completely forgotten that I once commented on this. Guess I had been hoping for that "easter egg" experience that you get credit for knowing something extra, just like when I unsuspectingly did this quiz again today. I could have explained it more, but at the time I thought this quiz would be only played by fans and likers of Alanis.

	I love this song, despite its irony mistakes. Oh and 10 thousand spoons when you need a knife is ironic. The oter ones would need some other fact, or info to be ironic. Still it marked my teenage years. And the "meeting his beautiful husband" would in fact be more ironic, I saw her live and she sang it like that

	Despite knowing that none of these are actually ironies, I prefer to agree with @made_of_money and believe that Alanis purposefully wrote a song in which none of the ironies are actually ironic in order to make the song itself ironic. (I wonder if I can use the word ironic some more...)

	I grew up in Oregon, so the line about "rain on your wedding day" always made me laugh...Oregon gets rain all the time, so you kind of expect it to rain on your wedding day. Anyway, going to have this song in my head for the rest of the day, and that's fine, I love it!
