	Not really accurate calling Danville the capital of the Confederacy. It was the capital for (at most) a few months, and really was just a temporary place for Davis and the cabinet to stay while fleeing the (more accurate) capital of Richmond. After all, Richmond served as capital for 4 years, Danville, just a few months

	And including Bophuthatswana, Ciskei, Transkei, and Venda seems to give credibility to the apartheid regime in South Africa. These were simply bantustans, homelands, created for the black population. It is akin to referring to the various Indian reservations in the United States and Canada as "countries."

	@kaiser_matias: Not any more than including the CSA gives credibility to slavery or including Rhodesia and Katanga white minority rule in those regions. I am certainly aware of the real nature of the homelands, but they regarded themselves as independent states, unlike Indian nations today.

	Definately against having the bantustans. If this means taking out CSA, so be it. And the fact that you had to list so many of them is indicating some sympathy with the regime, whether you want to or not. If you must include one, I still disagree, but so many is definitely odd.

	I don't think any of the bantustans received recognition from outside of South Africa. So it's a bit of a stretch to call them independent states. The same goes for the CSA.

	I agree that the bantustans should not be included on this list because they were never recognized by any country besides South Africa. And I agree that including them on this list is unfortunate, because it gives the false impression that they were independent states rather than apparatuses of the apartheid regime.

	I wonder how much of this complaining is due to the fact that the percentage of quiz takers who got the bantustans correct ranges from 1.7% (Venda) to 3.5% (Transkei).

	Great quiz. I don't think it's fair to just complain about the bantustans. There are more states on the list with limited to no recognition, like Katanga and Biafra. Maybe you should add a warning about that in the description.

	Fine quiz, many thanks. It was a while before I grasped that it was asking for the bantustans (1994 was quite a clue, tho). Those who say the bantustans should not be included do not request the removal of Manchukuo, a similar unrecognised puppet state. Perhaps they are closet supporters of Japanese expansionism? (joke)

	In your "Countries 1939" quiz Czechoslovakia isn't recognized as a country. But in this quiz Czechoslovakia is recognized as a country from 1918-1992. Please change the date in this quiz; 1918-1939/1945-1992
