| Interesting quiz - but you've missed out a lot of countries - what's your source?
E.g. Andorra was definitely around in 1776, as was Monaco, as was San Marino, as was Denmark (sometimes known then as Denmark-Norway), etc. There were a huge amount of kingdoms in Africa and the Middle East which are not included here, e.g. Kingdom of Kongo.
If you're counting Prussia, then you can't really count the Holy Roman Empire, since Prussia was a constituent member of HRE, not separate from it - you'd have to count all the other members too. Similarly, the inclusion of pre-Italian states seems to be quite arbitrary, e.g. you've included Sardinia but not Sicily, etc.
I really love the idea of this quiz, and this is a good attempt, but I can't really see how you've chosen the countries to put on it. |
