	A few of these are stretching it. Although Pearl Harbor was set around a real event, the story is completely fictional. If you call that a true story it pretty much allows all stories set amongst a real war as a true story.

	If you include Pearl Harbor it's completely illogical not to include Titanic.

	I'm pretty sure than 'Saving Private Ryan' made more than $52 mil at the box office, but I could be wrong. And as alluded to above, if you're going to include 'Pearl Harbor', you have to include 'Titanic', but it's probably better if you left them both off...

	Probably gonna court some controversy here...but where's the proof that the Passion of the Christ is a true story? Stuff like 'The Pursuit of Happyness', yeah there's evidence that it happened. Same goes for 'La Bamba', 'Gandhi', etc...but Passion of the Christ? Umm, not a lot, as it happens...

	Don't see why I'm getting voted down. Like the film or not... 'Marley and Me' is a film based on the autobiographical novel by John Grogan telling the story of his life with his dog, and it grossed about 140m US domestically which is what the criteria refers to, box office...

	While I agree that the main plots of Pearl Harbor and Titanic were based on fictional characters, both had real people as characters (President Roosevelt, John Jacob Astor, Molly Brown, Captain Smith) I got both of them, but missed 6 or 7 others that I really should have gotten. GRRRRR.

	Too many of these are movies that are known for not being very accurate. The ending of the movie A Civil Action is greatly different than what happened in real life.

	If we're talking about other fairly tenuous bases on true stories, then surely the film 300 with Gerard Butler must be included. History suggests that King Leonidas did indeed fight with an army of 300 Spartans against the Persian King Xerxes at the Battle of Thermopylae. Whilst the film is quite fantastical, the link is probably no worse than many listed here.

	I think the premise of this quiz makes it too hard to judge. "21" was LOOSELY based on a true story, in that an MIT blackjack team existed. The storyline, and most of the names, were made up. It's no more true than a lot of movies not on here. As stated before, the same goes for "Pearl Harbor."
