It is more than a little disingenuous for someone to hold up a country as a shining beacon simply because that country did not have execution as a punishment applied by a court of law, but did use it extrajudiciously as a political tool without even the benefit of a trial. Please note that this is not intended to be a slam at the creator of the puzzle, but rather the wikipedia article which just brushes away extrajudicial executions as an inconvenient fact they would rather not deal with. |
