5/5 Absolutely amazing... but... It's "Tone Loc", not "Toc" (Trivia: That song actually samples two other songs you used on your quiz)

Whoops, bad typo, thanks I'll fix that. Hah, nice trivia, I didn't even realize that when making the quiz. I guess all the cowbell songs stick together.

That's it! That's the melody to Funkytown! (Also, you realize the BTO song actually says the name of the song in the clip) - but as always, amazing.

Great quiz!!! I didn't know all those songs had a cowbell sound, really cool quiz!

Yup, once you hear the cowbell you cannot unhear;). And I did realize the BTO song has the name of the title in the clip, but that part was way too awesome for me not to use. Happy to hear that you guys enjoyed it though.

great quiz! loved the song choices, though i was shattered by the absence of the most flagrant single offender in cowbell history, "missing" by everything but the girl: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9VdJA6BCww

Surprised Pretty Fly (for a White Guy) isn't on here, but great quiz and great selections nonetheless.

Interestingly enough they put the cowbell in Don't Fear the Reaper as more of an afterthought than anything. There are several versions without it. I wonder if people would still remember BOC at all if they had left it out in the final version.

you should have included "photograph" by def leppard! that's one of the first songs i think of when i think of cowbell... and for some of these i could hardly even hear it in the clip

Yup, it is in fact "Women", I'll change it now, thank you. I can see that there are bunch that I left out, but I doubt there will be a sequel...surprisingly, there is such a thing as too much cowbell.

I must admit to being guilty of listening to this quiz hoping for Queens of the Stone Age's "Little Sister", but I had forgotten about Electioneering, which was an even more pleasant surprise than Little Sister would've been.

@Gjarble: Funny you should say that, Electioneering was actually the replacement for Little Sister. I wanted to put it in but I was disappointed to find out that they used a "jam block", not an actual cowbell.

I wonder how many people try "son of a bitch" for the Nazareth tune. I'm not too surprised that the Floyd song is the least guessed clip ... I'll have to admit these days that is a fairly obscure song ... years ago it was all over AOR radio. What a great album Animals is.

Ugh, I typed in "rollercoaster of love" because that's how it goes in the song. Maybe you should accept that, even though it's not exactly the title?

Hah, I could do that, but then I would be encouraging you to remember the wrong title. I might add a bonus answer to put you on the right track though.

That's another one that was one my list, but I took it out because I couldn't find a good 10 seconds of cowbell that didn't include the title in the lyrics. Shame though, its an awesome cowbell part.

My favourite cowbell song is the James Gang's "Funk #49" The drum solo section in that song is cowbellicious!

Despite the title featuring in the clip, "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" is only the 7th most guessed answer! Wake up, kids!

When I heard the Pigs clip, I knew what it was, namely, something I would murder myself if I didn't figure it out. Thankfully, I was able to back it up about five times at which point it finally clicked. Nice quiz.

Great quiz. Lots of other great cowbell songs out there, if you ever want to make an (admittedly more difficult sequel). Bad Brains' "Pay to C*m" is the most relentless cowbell pounding ever.

It's a little cheap that you don't cut off "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" before they sing the title. Fun quiz, though.
