| Rockgolf, if I were going to do it, without wanting to purchase new software, I'd download Audacity. It's a fairly robust open source audio editing program. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ Also, you'd need to install the LAME MP3 plugin to export to mp3s. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/faq?s=install&i=lame-mp3 Then, open up your first mp3 and highlight the selection you want, hit EDIT->COPY, then start a new project (FILE->NEW), go to PROJECT->NEW AUDIO TRACK on your new file and past the clip into that track. Repeat for each track you want. I'd rename them as I go (click the dropdown menu on each track and hit NAME). When you're done, switch from the SELECTION TOOL to the TIME SHIFT TOOL in the set of six buttons in the upper left corner. Drag the files horizontally so that they're arranged temporally in the order you want, and hit FILE->EXPORT AS MP3, which will mix them all down into one file. Maybe there's an easier way to do this all automagically; this would be a bit labor intensive, but it's my first instinct of how to do it economically and easily. |
