Cantonese is also a Chinese dialect so you should either accept Chinese for both Cantonese and Mandarin or neither.

Accept Chinese for neither. They're just different languages.

Or combine them under Chinese, as usually done. Of course you'll have to combine the other Chinese dialects/languages (Hokkien, Hakka, Wu, Taiwanese, Gan, etc. etc.) too.
