@Sarahbelle: Loved the game once I figured out that I needed to enter both parts, but I agree, the instructions need fine tuning. I thought when I saw the character, I had to enter the pet name. Here's some suggestions:
- Change the question to "Can you name the correct combinations of TV characters and their pets?"
- Change the Answer type field to "COMBINATION of owner and pet"
- Change Answer (plural) to "combinations".
- Add the following instructions: "Enter BOTH the full owner AND the pet name. Correct combinations will appear in both columns."
- The heading on the first column should only read "Owners". The heading on the second column should only read "Pets".
- I like the display identifying the species, but how about the Owner display identifying the series and the Pet display identifying the species? As an example:
OWNER | Angela Martin | Angela Martin (The Office) & Sprinkles / Angela Martin Sprinkles
PETS | Sprinkles | Angela Martin & Sprinkles the cat / Angela Martin Sprinkles.
I recognize this last step is a lot of work, especially now that it's on the front page, but you should be able to apply the first four points. |
