I agree, this quiz made me feel like I need to go reread the books. Definitely the most challenging of the Harry Potter quizzes yet!

16/18, missed Luna and Ginny. Luna's I know was mentioned in Deathly Hallows but just couldn't remember...where was it mentioned that Ginny's was a horse?

Please please please rename this "Patroni." It just looks weird with the "Patronuses." We don't say alumnuses.

@magister: Yeah, but the plural of "Patronus" is, in fact, "Patronuses." Don't blame anyone here, blame J.K. Rowling if you don't like the word.

How did so many people miss "doe"? That was a pretty crucial detail in Deathly Hallows!

@TrueNorth: Ginny's patronus is never mentioned in the books. It was a horse in the Order of the Phoenix movie.

Argh! I missed both of the Dumbledores'! I have no excuse for forgetting Phoenix, but I spent so much time thinking about Aberforth's (I just reread the 7th book) that I pretty much blew off everyone else's. I knew had horns but I kept thinking 'antelope' for some reason...

didn't Tonks have two kinds of patronuses?

Once again this proves that Harry Potter is the only series of books to have ever existed in the world...

@Craig R - I believe Tonks's had a different patronus before it changed to a werewolf but it doesn't say what it was, only that Harry noticed it was different.

Ha, I haven't read a single line of the books and only watched about an accumulated hour of the movies, but still got 12/18. "Guess random animals" would be a better description of the quiz. And, yeah, screw Potter ...

To be a complete Harry potter nerd... It should accept "krup" because that's what Ron's patronus is - the wizarding equivalent of a Jack Russell terrier *nerd momend*

this quiz reminded me of how awesome dumbledore is. Only thing cooler than his patronus would be a dragon, or maybe a human. :o

There is one wizard, not mentioned in the series but in one of the other books, who has a patronus that is a giant. That's up there with a phoenix or dragon.

I was under the impression that Seamus Finnegan's was a potato... And was anyone else disappointed that Snape's wasn't something a little more badass than a doe?

@MasterShake25: There is a very legitimate reason for it to be a doe if you read book 7.

The reason I think Erine, Seamus and Luna's patronuses are so easy is because they perform them in book seven and book seven (especially the last couple of chapters) are really memorable. I'm sorry but those chapters are just so touching. You probably don't care.

My guesses were getting a bit weird by the end... Fish? Octopus? I don't think I should have got credit for "hare" by typing "rabbit"...that's like getting dog for wolf or vice versa.

@Robert Lo - I think it just accepted 'dog' for that one. I tried 'terrier' but it didn't work, and I couldn't remember what breed so I just hit 'dog' and it worked

yeah... I liked it, though! I think mine would be a wolf or something 'cause I'm just that cool.. or maybe a goat... Aberforthe's is the coolest! GOATS ARE AMAZING AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT!

Snape sickens me. That whole 'Snape being in love with Lily' thing sickens me. What was Rowling thinking? It's so not good enough!!
