| bmo, first of all, you have to consider a few things before making that statement.
1) "sport" is not the most difficult activity. is calculus a sport? that is one of the most difficult thing's i've done in my life. what about being a desert guide? walking MORE than 5 miles a day in the hot sun, with the utmost concentration or you will get lost. is that a sport?
2) "sport" has an imprecise definition that differs between people. I have met people who don't believe anything more complicated than superlatives (first/most) is a sport - first person to run 100 m, or most goals in 60 minutes. then there are people who believe that any sort of physical activity with the goal of winning is a sport. so it differs.
3) golf is not the hardest activity on the list.
personally I believe golf IS a sport, I just think your comment is invalid in a few senses. I also believe figure skating, bowling, chess, curling, darts, frisbee, billiards, and dance are sports. however, I can understand someone who believes auto racing is or billiards isn't. |
