	Agreed that 'Ivory Coast' should be there, as that is what it's commonly known in english as. For the same reason english speakers say 'Germany' or 'Spain' and not 'Deutschland' or 'España'.

	@rct, et al: The official English name for the Ivory Coast is the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, in the same way that the official English names for Germany and Spain are the Federal Republic of Germany and the Kingdom of Spain. We refer to these countries more commonly as Côte d'Ivoire, Germany, and Spain. However, calling the Côte d'Ivoire the "Ivory Coast" is a bit like calling the United States of America simply "America." It's a well-understood colloquialism but not the correct name. I'd be in favor of it being a bonus answer, though.

	agreed.. there is no such thing as the Southern Ocean, yet we see it come up on Sporcle time and time again. I suppose some people just like to make things up. From now on I am going to use the midwestern ocean as an answer.

	"Ivory Coast" is the English name of the country. The difference between Cote d'Ivoire, Deutschland, España, and any other country whose name is different in English is that only Cote d'Ivoire has asked that people not use their own language when referring to it. The majority of the time, English publications and broadcasts use "Ivory Coast"; "Cote d'Ivoire" gets used in formal governmental contexts, so as not to irritate the Ivorians. On the one hand, it's like your Russian friend Mikhail asking you to call him "Mikhail" and not "Michael". On the other hand, it's like your local Mexican restaurant insisting you say "pollo" when you're ordering chicken.

	@TubeChat - The Southern Ocean is the body of water surrounding Antarctica. It has only been classified as an ocean within the past several years and it is believed to begin just south of Australia, although there is much dispute about that boundary. Having both a grandmother and mother who are from Ireland, naturally I missed the country on this quiz.

Further, if you check on wikipedia and other places, you'll see that the government of the Côte d'Ivoire is actually annoyed at how infrequently English-speaking and international entities (such as the IOC, FIFA, BBC, etc.) use "Côte d'Ivoire". 	WinninNicklaus--they said F because the official name of Germany is the Federal Republic of Germany. However, I think calling it Ivory Coast is way different than referring to it as Germany. And on another, nitpicky note: Indigo is not another name for blue in the rainbow--it's a color in it's own right. ROY G BIV. Really liked this quiz though. Not sure how I could've missed Monsters, Inc.
