Great idea, too bad my math sucks. I give it a:
( Valentine's Day - Independence day ) ÷ Groundhog Day
Aug 16th, 2011 at 20:19 GMT
Maybe this might work better as an answer in order? It would help dodge issues like UN÷Epiphany triggering off of Leap+Lincoln, and keep people from just trying all the small numbers and/or accidentally triggering a bunch with their wrong answers.
Aug 17th, 2011 at 14:15 GMT
All right, I'll do that.
And yeah, sorry it isn't longer; I couldn't find more than 20 US holidays on the same date.
Aug 18th, 2011 at 23:45 GMT
Good quiz, but you said to ignore holidays that didn't have a set day but you used the Summer and Winter solstices, when each season has a few possible dates in which it starts.

Maybe a little more time. A few of these holidays are not widely celebrated: Flag Day, UN Day, Earth Day, Lincoln's Birthday, Epiphany (for the non-religious), so it makes it difficult in such a short amount of time. Fun quiz though.

Congratulations Saints09 on gettting your (April Fool's Day x Groundhog Day) published quiz on Sporcle!

At least one more minute would be great. Great idea for a quiz!

For those outside the US, Lincoln's birthday and Flag Day may not be well known.

Woohoo! Thanks for the publish Sporcle!

I liked the idea. For some reason the division sign is very similar to the plus sign on my computer. Probably had something to do with my haste to finish. Maybe a "/" sign would make it a bit more distinguishable?

Very clever, I had fun! I'm not sure anyone at all knows when United Nations day is, though. No day off, no celebrations, not on the calendars, stores don't even have those dumb sales...

I need to either get my eyes checked or get a new monitor - I tried so many different numbers for Earth + Veterans, until I looked real close and found it was /. Or maybe switch the operator to aid us old folks with poor eyesight???

Maybe I should also read comments before commenting myself - I agree with @evilcheeba

i have very good eyesight and i had to look 2x on that... i agree / would be better... also agree that some were surprisingly difficult!!

SPORCLE! Take that "report" flag away! I accidentally hit it again! grrrr...
Dec 20th, 2011 at 22:49 GMT
Alright I've let Sporcle know, that they should change the division sign. Thanks!

Can you please rename as "US Holiday Math Quiz" since at least half of these are American only.
Dec 22nd, 2011 at 01:59 GMT
I don't understand why some of the math problems have equal signs = and some do not. Would you please get that fixed?
