To be more accurate, I'd break up the statistic for Metro Vancouver. I really think it's a bit of a stretch to lump Surrey, Burnaby, Richmond, Delta, New West, Coquitlam and the North Shore in with Vancouver. Surrey's about an hour drive from Vancouver, and if you count them as the separate municipalities they are, it's the actual second largest city.
